You will serve as a Supervisory Marine Transportation Specialist and be responsible for identifying and providing capabilities, competencies, capacity; and developing doctrine and policy for the staffing, equipping, sustaining, and employing Coast Guard forces to meet Marine Safety mission requirements.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Maintaining oversight of all work in progress, monitoring for timeliness of completion and supervising work at a level appropriate for each subordinate.
- Performing the supervisory, administrative, and human resources management functions relative to the staff supervised.
- Managing budget coordination for the Office of Port and Facility Compliance.
- Directing office long-term planning and program development efforts.
- Developing new congressionally mandated programs and formulating operational partnerships particularly with federal and international agencies.
- Representing the Office of Port and Facility compliance at domestic and international fora.
Starting at $163,964 Per Year (GS 15)
