  • The duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Responds to requests for information on behalf of the Director’s Office.
  • Supports the Director’s office by researching requests and analyzing available information, data, resources, etc. to provide leadership with accurate situational awareness and support decision making.
  • Works closely with the program Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff as well as other program area Chiefs and Critical Issues Managers to facilitate the timely flow of information and resolve problems.
  • Drafts messages to APHIS employees on a wide range of safety and health, security and emergency matters.
  • Drafts mini memos, briefing papers, correspondence and other written documents on behalf of division leadership in response to emerging or other critical issues.
  • Prepares presentations and talking points for program and division leadership leveraging PowerPoint and other presentation tools.
  • Serves as a project manager helping to plan, direct and facilitate small-scale projects on behalf of the Director’s office.
  • Assists with the development of division project workflow processes, both manual and electronic to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely flow of projects and other requests
  • Plans and coordinates the monthly division All Staff meeting, managing the calendar, developing the agenda, inviting speakers, and providing advance information to employees so they come prepared to each meeting.
  • Responsible for planning an annual division Leadership Team offsite and biannual division All Staff offsite meeting.
