Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your authoritative and technical expertise, supervising subordinate staff and overseeing the programs and policies related to the inventory and safe storage of seized property that has not met the requirements for entry into the U.S. This position starts at a salary of $121,485.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $157,934.00 (GS-13, Step 10). In this supervisory position you will become a key team member of homeland security professionals overseeing the inventory and safe storage of seized illegal narcotics, prohibited goods and restricted merchandise. Typical work assignments include:
- Directing administrative and operational functions of the Seized Property program
- Setting priorities and preparing schedules, while ensuring timely performances of quality and quantity of work
- Providing technical direction on complex issues and resolving differences of opinion
- Managing the overall operation of the Seized Property program
- Evaluating activities to improve effectiveness of operations and application capabilities
