- You will provide professional and technical leadership to support the delivery of natural resources programs and projects to NAVFAC customers and Supported Commanders (Department of Defense (DoD) organizations).
- You will manage and execute the Natural Resource Program to include the review and implementation of management programs, specifically Sikes Act INRMPs.
- You will develop innovative, responsive, and sustainable solutions to ensure that Supported Commanders are able to meet their training and operational mission needs while also ensuring natural resources compliance and environmental stewardship.
- You will develop, coordinate and review of Natural Resources Program metrics and annual reports for submission to higher headquarters (DoD organizations).
- You will develop long-range forecasts for planning, programming, and budgeting of natural resource requirements) and guide program execution.
- You will coordinate with high-level DoD and non-DoD agency personnel regarding natural resources laws, rules, and regulations and general ecosystem management to resolve program issues and assist in prioritizing resources.
- You will assist with the interpretation of laws and regulations to include NEPA, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, and Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act to meet mission requirements.
