As a Health Communications Specialist you will:

  • Plan, apply, and evaluate various health education models, communication science and marketing techniques.
  • Develop, implement, and manage national communication and marketing programs through various communication tactics, particularly web-based.
  • Ensure that health communication activities are based on theory and use accepted principles, methods, and practices.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to others about developing, testing, and disseminating science- and audience-based products, tools, and messages (i.e., via written, electronic, and audiovisual formats).
  • Develop and manage contracts, task orders, requests for proposals, review of proposals, and conduct and quality of work performed.
