The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Housing Program Specialist, you will:
- Review and analyzes mission-oriented programs, policies, and program data to support the development of plans, policy initiatives and management reports administered and managed by the Housing Voucher Program.
- Apply knowledge of assisted public housing programs and voucher procedures and assists in preparing recommendations for statutory changes.
- Review and analyze program performance, examines the impact of policies on existing programs, comments on pending legislation, regulations and guidelines prepared by other offices.
- Analyze new or proposed program policies and their impact on assisted housing policies and prepares summary reports and recommendations addressing program improvements.
Starting at $86,962 Per Year (GS 12-13)
