- The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains strategic and operational plans for the operation of the team in alignment with the goals of USDA, APHIS, and Veterinary Services.
- Identifies program and administrative issues within Veterinary Services which would benefit from increased usage of informatics.
- Provides leadership and management to project-focused teams comprised of analysts and informatics specialists to develop data and approaches for reporting and analysis of the identified issues.
- Works across government, states, and industry to integrate comprehensive data as needed.
- Leads, designs, and implements solutions for generating decision options using the analytical data sets for organizational decision making at both the strategic and operational levels.
- Communicates project and team needs and works with peers to enroll or engage team membership from within Strategy and Policy, or other APHIS offices.
- Represents the Center in professional and public settings.
- The employee assigns and reviews the work of project teams to ensure timely performance, soundness, and value.
