At the full performance level, major duties include:

  • Provide analytical support for the design and development of complex financial information systems, assisting in the definition of system objectives, and providing detailed specifications for the data requirements and statistical analysis of financial data.
  • Design analytical and descriptive presentations for senior FDIC management concerning the status of the insured banking industry and other sectors. These presentations will provide support for official meetings, policy decisions, publications, speeches, and congressional testimony.
  • Lead in the development of systems designed to identify and evaluate changing risk factors within the banking industry and within key industry segments. These efforts will support the Division's objective of discerning possible areas of concern before problems become widespread. These duties encompass analysis of sources, including information about economic trends and information about industries where bank lending is becoming concentrated.
  • Works independently with staff and management and other FDIC business units to define user requirements related to financial systems and their implications for the banking industry.
  • Compile and supply information for incorporation into studies, policy decisions, and testimony.
  • Orally presents analytical results to the management and professional staff of the Division, the FDIC and other organizations with an interest in these topics.
