Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supply Management:

  • Responsible for the inventory management, control and distribution of expendable inventory
  • Ensures maximum effectiveness in the management of inventories
  • Has oversight and accountability of the management plan for the commodity program
  • Conducts effectiveness/efficiency reviews
  • Oversees the computation of requirements for supplies
  • May serve as the approving official for approving reconciled purchase card transactions
  • Oversees the care and handling of specialized items
  • Prepares/reviews submissions to obtain approval or funding
  • Acts as the central point of contact for the coordination of commodity support and the resolution of logistics problems
Returns, Recalls and Reutilization:
  • Manages federal and agency programs for the return and reutilization of medical supplies
  • Approves emergent procurement decisions
  • Participates in root cause analysis process
  • Serves as the utilization and disposal official for excess consumables
Supervision:
  • Supervises employees from separate but interrelated units
  • Makes recommendations for promotions, reassignments and awards
  • Develops position descriptions and performance standards
  • Conducts semi-annual and annual performance reviews
  • Assists subordinate staff with performance issues
  • Schedules and grants leave
  • Monitors overtime usage resolves informal complaints and grievances
  • Develops the ability of subordinate staff
  • Develops individual development plans for professional growth and development
  • Coordinates and integrates various technical units to ensure compliance
  • Conducts on the job training and in service training
  • Assesses training and educational needs and implements training programs
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Statement: A one year supervisory probation period may be required for this position.

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
