- Responsible for providing technical assistance to ensure that FAS products and services meet information security (INFOSEC) requirements in response to Government needs by ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems and data through planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Serves as technical expert in the areas of information technology and information security (INFOSEC) principles and practices.
- Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships through process management and communication.
- Develops supply chain custodial processes and capabilities from a security or information assurance perspective.
- Develops and recommends technical solutions and provides technical guidance in IT security implementation, including long range plans for IT security systems for clients that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT system vulnerabilities.
- Prepares internal and external reports that may include providing audit liaison support to customer operations, such as the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), and others as directed.
- May serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), program manager or project manager to oversee and monitor contractor performance, formulate project plans, and statements of work (SOW) in support of NSP initiatives.
- Participates in systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
