Role


We scrape hundreds of websites daily using Python and JavaScript tools.

We're looking for a motivated Junior Developer to help manage and update our web crawlers. Your tasks may range from simple fixes, like updating where data is collected, to handling more advanced data collection challenges.

You'll get training and support from experienced team members, but you'll also be expected to solve problems, track progress, and report solutions independently.


Responsibilities

  • Assessing which web crawlers may require attention/ fixes
  • Creating/ fixing scripts based on our templates that extract key information from online
    retailer sites
  • Amending and updating logic files that pull data from API calls or HTML pages
  • Checking data quality that is parsed to our database
  • Using logs to identify recurring problems
  • Reporting daily progress to your line manager

Preferred candidate profile

  • Javascript/ Python/ HTML
  • Experience using web-crawling libraries
  • Self confident/ self starter
  • English Language Fluency

This is a full time role (40hrs per week)

Contract paid weekly.
