What You ll Do:

We are seeking a Health Data Analyst to assist with quality review, study design, methodology, statistical analysis, and reporting in support of contracts and service offerings for State Medicaid and Medicare clients. This role will involve collaboration with State Agencies and internal teams to review and validate health plan performance on healthcare outcomes to provide best practices for ensuring appropriate health care for Medicaid/Medicare members.

We expect you to:

  • Conduct review of research projects conducted by health plans based on methodology and statistical analysis
  • Evaluate patterns of care and healthcare utilization outcomes.
  • Facilitate and participate in team meetings.
  • Use statistical methods to produce sample data sets for projects
  • Analyze and interpret project data
  • Ability to apply research methodology concepts and conduct literature reviews
  • Develop analytic narrative reports, charts, and tables
  • Present and communicate project results to non-analytic staff members and customers.

Who You Are

The successful candidate meets the following requirements:

  • Advanced (graduate) degree in public health, statistics, epidemiology or related field; OR bachelor s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of SAS or comparable statistical analytic software
  • Experience in research and quality improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with the CMS Protocols related to EQR Validation of Performance Improvement Projects, Surveys, Network Adequacy, and Performance Measures
  • Familiarity with NCQA HEDIS measures and methods
  • High level of computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and survey software
