Role Overview

As the Director of Global Alliances at Retarus, you will lead the development and execution of strategic business initiatives with system integrators (SI). Your role will be pivotal in leveraging the existing strong, long term relationship within the Global System Integration and Channel community to formalize new strategic partnerships, as well as, in collaborating with the Retarus’ International Global Strategic Partnership team to expand their existing partner relationship into North America, and contribute to the success of our industry-leading software solutions.

What you'll do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies for system integrators, focusing on expanding existing European business within assigned SI accounts.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with SI Partner Managers across key business locations to ensure a unified approach to SI account management.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels within assigned SI accounts to gain insights into customer priorities, focus areas, and business models.
  • Advocacy and Alignment: Act as the primary advocate for assigned System Integrators within our vertical sales teams, identifying opportunities to support SI business growth in line with our strategies.
  • Solution Delivery: Collaborate with the Account Management team to determine the optimal solution delivery approach, whether through Retarus or an SI.
  • Partner Competency Development: Develop strategies to assess, manage, and enhance partner competency through training and participation in SI community events.
  • Best Practices: Lead best practice discussions with peer SI partner managers to continuously improve strategies and approaches.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with relevant stakeholders within Retarus to plan and leverage opportunities that align with partner strategies.
  • Execution Management: Oversee the execution of partner strategies in collaboration with technical, marketing, and other internal teams.
  • Sales and Forecasting: Take ownership of sales cycles and forecasts, effectively prioritizing and allocating resources through active use of CRM and related tools.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor partner business results and provide recommendations for improvements to increase penetration for strategic partners.

What you'll need

  • Expertise: Several years of proven experience in managing Global Service Providers, Channel Management, or Business Development roles within the enterprise software ecosystem and/or network security industry.
  • Operational Knowledge: Deep understanding of SP operating models.
  • Sales and Marketing Proficiency: Strong background in sales, marketing, and solution development.
  • Leadership in Complex Sales: Demonstrated success in leading complex sales situations through effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Innovative Thinking: Strong initiative and innovative thinking abilities, coupled with exceptional presentation and communication skills.
