Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Analyst to join the Team!
The IT Analyst will be in support of submarine Imaging, Electronic Warfare, Communication, Antennas, and Special Projects Systems which includes acquisition program management, in-service management, financial/budgetary planning and execution, and internal information technology and information assurance processes and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities
- Monitor vulnerability management scanning tools on a daily basis
- Identify risks for workstations, servers, networks, and applications utilizing the IA scanning technique specific to the system.
- Propose solutions to mitigate identified risks.
- Install, maintain, and integrate updates and fixes of hardware, operating systems, databases, and application software to maintain cybersecurity posture of all program accredited systems.
- Upon receipt of GFI, harden and secure program systems in accordance with applicable Security Technical and Implementation Guide (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts, Bulletins, and Technical (IAV-A/B/T) and report compliance using the corresponding system of record.
- Perform periodic vulnerability scans on network information systems and closed enclaves using DoD and Department Navy (DON) approved tools and remediate vulnerability findings based on system scan recommendations.
- Provide CSS and Service Desk services.
- Provide Client Support Services for all program hardware and software packages by interviewing customers, diagnosing, and responding to a wide range of IT related issues, and escalating the issue to a higher support level if necessary.
- Act as first responder and primary dispatch for all facets of IT services, including application support, hardware support, unclassified and classified networks, file server and print services, domain access, AIS Information Security, telephones, and government issued cellphones.

- Provide program software license maintenance, including the installation of software license keys provided by the Government for use on the program s systems.
- Perform updates to the programs SharePoint Online site pages.
- Monitor the performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, recoverability of all system assets across the program and any servers where the program has a presence.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly backups of specified program systems in accordance with the operating system native back-up tools in the individual operating systems.
- Monitor applicable cybersecurity management tools and databases daily for all events.
- collected by enterprise security products employed by the program to identify suspicious activity, provide analysis of anomalies, and investigate and provide recommendations for resolution of the cybersecurity event with department ISSOs.
- Analyze and gather data and metrics in support of department and center level data calls for the collection of cybersecurity data and metrics.
- Perform electronic audits of IT and IA data to assess compliance with Government cybersecurity policies.
- Perform manual and automated vulnerability test and evaluation for IT and IA, software applications and laboratories.
- Provide information (such as hardware and software lists and verified vulnerability scans) to the designated Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) or Code 10 RMF point of contact on all Code 34 RDT&E RMF packages in accordance with the RMF process.
- Deliver Technical Reports Analysis, Recommendations and Expenditure Reports
- Meets the requirements equivalent to SECNAV M-5239.2 Appendix 4, Specialty Area Code 45 System Administration at an Intermediate or Advanced level.
- CompTIA Cybersecurity certification: Possesses at a minimum Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent certifications at a minimum of the IAT Level II
- Possesses Windows 10 or higher Operating System certification.
- Possesses Windows Server 2016 or higher Operating System certification.
- Demonstrated experience configuring, deploying, operating, and maintaining Windows workstations and server operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience configuring, deploying, operating, and maintaining Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the hardening of Windows workstation and server environments including the implementation of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical and Implementation Guide (STIG) and demonstrated experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAV) compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in providing Information Technology (IT)/Information Assurance (IA) Customer Support Services
- Demonstrated experience with SharePoint IT/IA administration (including web parts, web pages, document libraries, and calendars)
- Demonstrated experience conducting vulnerability scanning and vulnerability analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency with DoD unclassified and classified networks.
- Five (5) years or more of demonstrated experience.
