The Audiovisual Production Specialist is responsible for designing and producing all of the Museum's video and audio media products, exercising project management, and overseeing contracts for all audiovisual products, supplies and services.
In this position, you will:
- Design and produce media in the form of videos, interactive media, audio interpretation, multi-screen and immersive environments.
- Provide pre and postproduction advice and services for programs, work to create accessible media per standards defined in the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, organizing the
transcripts, captions, and audio description for media products. Provide compression, color correction of images and video as well as audio mastering of media products as needed. - Work with curators and staff developing content and defining scope, requirements, and deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact and as an integrated part of project teams for the NMAI Highlights Audio Guide.
- Procure services, equipment and supplies, write statement of work, and manage contracts for media production services.
- Serve as the Media department point of contact to ensure that the department is consistently archiving and organizing it's assets.
