As the Director, Human Resources Policy and Programs, you will:
- Manage a subordinate staff and be fully responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Departmental Office's human resources policies and programs.
- Identify potential problem areas and needs throughout DO to develop short and long range plans for HR which reflect responsiveness and full support for DO programs and missions.
- Promote efforts to generate understanding and acceptance by operating officials of their responsibilities for meaningful participation in HR management, in keeping with merit system principles and equal employment opportunity laws and regulations.
- Lead work involving Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) oversight and complaints programs and reporting, in partnership with the DO EEO Officer.
- Identify the potential impact of proposed legislation, regulations, and Treasury policies and procedures on operational activities and workload and makes recommendations for actions or decisions
