  • Conducts fact-finding required to adjudicate the appeal and prepares draft decisions for review.
  • Participates in adjudicating Fair Labor Standards Act, compensation, and leave claims to support accomplishment of the centralized claims program workload.
  • Reads and analyzes claim records and determines the need for additional information.
  • Assesses through fact-finding the circumstances of Fair Labor Standards Act claims through interviews and research of statutes, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Prepares draft claim and appeal decisions based on either the written record and/or findings.
  • Alerts the program manager to the potential scope and impact of problems and provides input on recommended strategies for resolving them.
Works collaboratively with other classification appeals adjudicators to share new, unique, or precedent-setting case information and ensure consistency in decisions.
