- Conducts fact-finding required to adjudicate the appeal and prepares draft decisions for review.
- Participates in adjudicating Fair Labor Standards Act, compensation, and leave claims to support accomplishment of the centralized claims program workload.
- Reads and analyzes claim records and determines the need for additional information.
- Assesses through fact-finding the circumstances of Fair Labor Standards Act claims through interviews and research of statutes, regulations, and case precedents.
- Prepares draft claim and appeal decisions based on either the written record and/or findings.
- Alerts the program manager to the potential scope and impact of problems and provides input on recommended strategies for resolving them.
