Duties are but not limited to:
- The ICMHR Social Worker Program Coordinator directs the operations, including allocation of resources of personnel, space, and equipment for the ICMHR and ERANGE program.
- The incumbent works within the framework of Human Resource Management Service and the Associate Chief Social Worker Mental Health for staff recruitment.
- The incumbent periodically reviews communication and paper flow systems, assessing the need for revised systems or new equipment.
- The incumbent supports the agency's Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Programs, is knowledgeable in this area and assures that the staff under supervision carries out the full intent of the program.
- The incumbent adheres to VANTHCS and VA policies and procedures concerning work related injuries and illnesses, assures that working conditions and work practices within the work site are such that the possibility of on-the-job injury is minimized.
- The incumbent also supports and assists in instructing and training staff in safe working practices, occupation health, emergency preparedness and fire protection programs by application of approved standards, regulations, practices, and methods.
- The incumbent develops effective and strong relationships with community resources to ensure continuity of care and to promote successful transitions of services. The incumbent has advanced skills in community partnership building and expertly represent VA North Texas Health Care System and ICMHR and ERANGE.
- Incumbent organizes rural and urban community services on behalf of beneficiaries, developing and coordinating procedures for use of these services by related staff. The incumbent develops working relationships and agreements with other organizations having responsibilities for the same patient population. The incumbent maintains a current and productive network of referral resources. The incumbent makes provision for referral services from other agencies, community resources.
- The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the ICMHR and ERANGE program is compliant with all regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to the population served and monitors medical center performance related to population served.
- The incumbent develops and maintains treatment and documentation standards that meet the expectations and requirements of Joint Commission (JC) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation.
- The incumbent assures all required Veteran screenings and assessments are completed and documented by staff as required by policy.
- The incumbent manages follow-up with Veterans who fail to attend appointments, per local procedures, and consults.
- The incumbent receives and completes requests for services (consults) from interdisciplinary team members and from other social workers on complex, difficult cases, using advanced practice skills and expertise. The incumbent is responsible for the processing of consults or assigns the task to the appropriate team member for completion.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
