What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position, you will serve a Management and Program Analyst in the NIMS Resource Management Branch. Typical assignments include:
- Working collaboratively and effectively with teammates to achieve goals and objectives and engaging with whole
community partners to develop, build, and sustain emergency preparedness capabilities and the National Incident Management System. - Routinely communicate with leadership providing situational awareness on programs and products through briefings, meetings, and reports.
- Manages or reviews difficult projects to collect, analyze, and present data on appropriate topics from a variety of traditional and non-traditional sources.
- Serve as a source of technical information on issues requiring the participation of multiple parties.
- Researching current legislation, regulations, policies, and guidance to determine potential impact on program and project strategies or plans.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
