Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

• Provides advice and guidance concerning resource management policies, plans, basic concepts, and principles of financial management and their implications in long and short range operational plans.
• Maintains liaison with managers and other management officials of the organization in order to transmit and implement policies and operational requirements of the director and various stakeholders of the organization.
• Develops and evaluates an effective, integrated resource management program.
• Provides leadership, direction, and coordination of all financial management programs.
• Identifies and explains variances, prepares narrative justification to support fmancial requirements, and analyze accounting reports and financial data to identify trends for evaluating effectiveness and efficiency of organization's activities.
