As an Administrative Officer you will perform the following duties:
- Manage processes and procedures, developing and implementing office initiatives and strategies, validate effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and compliance to policy and organizational goals. Manage office operations while promoting and developing procedures, guidance, and validate accountability. Oversee office budget preparation, execution and formulation, preparation of financial operation plans, and management of office Full-Time Employees (FTE)s. Oversee office records and information management to include administration of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) process, implement solutions to resolve complex problems, conflicts or issues effecting processes, and seeking improvement to increase the effectiveness of business operations. Manage the planning and logistics associated with events involving the office. Provide support to the Director and Deputy Director in all talent initiatives and recruitment, retention, and development strategies.
- Serve as initial advisor to managers on various personnel policies and procedures, maintain organizational structure, validate sound staffing levels, oversee reorganization issues, and projection of accession and attrition. Serve as administrator for the performance management system ensuring all supervisors complete their performance management tasks.
- Advise on regulation, procedure, format, and documentation of small purchases, acquisitions, contracts, and strategies to manage finances in an effective manner; provide quality control and oversight. Advise on and oversee personal and real property management and procedures. Manage completion of annual inventory of property.
- Provide management and supervision of administrative and support staff, communicating to employee's instruction, and managing workload distribution and review of assignments. Manage selection and retention of staff, perform leave administration, and provide feedback and evaluation of subordinate positions. Propose training and new assignments, coach and mentor staff, and address performance or disciplinary actions as they occur.
