- Provide technical advice on hydrological issues. Performs technical report writing and review.
- Collect, analysis and evaluate water quality and quantity data associated with the management of public lands, including interpretation and application of water resource information.
- Create, calibrate, and modify hydrologic models. Improves methods for the inventory, monitoring and management of water resources. Collects, catalogs, and utilizes digital GIS data.
- Participate in hydrology related emergency stabilization and rehabilitation following wildland fire activities. Compiles and analyzes new and existing data, provides projections of water supply and flow on public land.
- Serve as the point of contact on hydrologic and water resources issues including working with interdisciplinary teams, other federal agency personnel, tribal councils, and providing guidance and instruction to less experienced specialists.
