This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary; Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management, and Budget; Deputy Assistant Secretary - Policy and Environmental Management; Office of Restoration and Damage Assessment (ORDA)

At the full performance level GS-15 the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Leads and takes direct and principal responsibility within the ORDA for the full range of budget formulation and presentation activities on a programmatic and/or organizational basis, often involving extensive coordination with multiple bureaus and offices within the DOI.
2. Serves as principal budget contact for the ORDA with agencies such as the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the Departments of Treasury (Treasury) and Justice (DOJ), U.S. Coast Guard, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and other Federal and state Trustee agencies, Federally-recognized Tribes, and is recognized as the DOI national subject matter expert and authority on this account.
3. Leads the development and is responsible for the completion of the Restoration Program's responses to various budget exercises and data calls from the DOI, the OMB, the GAO, and the Congress.
4. Serves as the DOI principal budget and financial contact for the ORDA and as the Budget Officer and principal advisor to the Office Director and other Senior Executive level Departmental Officials on budget and financial matters relating to the DOI NRDAR Fund.
5. Supports the full range of budget execution duties for the ORDA. Works with DOI bureaus and offices, the POB, the Interior Business Center, the OMB, the Department of the Treasury, and other partners to prepare for, execute, and monitor the apportionment, allotment, sub-allotment, and obligation of funds to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the ORDA budget.

ORDA has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and may be allowed to telework with supervisory
approval.

Salary Information:
GS-15 Washington, DC:$163,964-$191,900 per annum. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level.
