The PHPL is a modern library offering innovative, customer-focused services with a warm, small-town feel. In a casual and collaborative environment, library staff strives to successfully fulfill the needs of customers with respect and integrity. We are a cohesive team of engaging people who work together to provide excellent customer experiences. In addition to lending physical and digital items, the library offers access to the Internet, technology, study spaces as well as meeting rooms, programs and seminars for all ages, notary and proctoring services, local and family history archives and research, Spanish-language materials and so much more.
Your day-to-day tasks would include providing library services to patrons in every department. Work involves responsibility for routine circulation, shelf maintenance, and clerical functions using an automated system. Duties include locating and checking materials in and out, providing information and technology assistance, registering new patrons, shelving library materials, handling money, inputting data, and assisting with special projects. Also required to make independent decisions as dictated by library policies.
