We are seeking a strategic and inquisitive Content Strategy & Implementation Manager with at least 5 years of experience leading content strategies and driving them from 0-1. This role is critical in shaping GoodUnited's communication with internal teams, current customers, and prospective clients. You will be responsible for building and executing content and market strategies that drive new sales opportunities and foster growth for the sales and customer success teams.
At its core, the primary objective of marketing is to generate high-quality leads that the sales team can convert into customers. The success of this role will be measured by both the quality and number of leads generated, directly impacting the growth and revenue of the company.

What does a Content Strategy & Implementation Manager do at GoodUnited?:
- Drive the Content Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies from 0-1 that align with GoodUnited's goals, particularly focusing on driving revenue growth and customer retention.
- Manage Communication: Lead communication efforts across internal teams, current customers, and prospects to answer key questions like, "What are we selling?" and "What's coming next?" Ensure consistent, impactful messaging to drive engagement and business growth.
- Create Market Strategy: Design, implement, and manage a complete market strategy that creates revenue opportunities for the sales and customer success teams.
- Content Creation & Dissemination: Produce high-impact content, including videos, that showcases GoodUnited's technology, repackaging information into consumable formats for different audiences.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), CEO, Associate Director of Implementation, and Support Engineer to ensure content strategies are aligned with sales and company objectives.
- Utilize CRM Tools: Leverage CRM platforms like HubSpot to manage content workflows, track engagement, and measure the success of campaigns.
- Engage in Discovery: Ask insightful discovery questions to uncover stakeholder needs, which will shape your content creation and strategy development.
- Internal Training and Enablement: Educate customer-facing teams (Sales, Customer Success, Support) on new product features, emphasizing their impact, benefits, and use cases. Deliverables include:
- Sales overview decks
- Customer success and onboarding training decks and videos
- FAQ and knowledge base documentation for Support
- Internal release notes
- External Training and Enablement: Provide nonprofit customers with the resources needed to understand and adopt new features. Deliverables include:
- In-product tutorials and tool-tips (via UserFlow)
- Announcement emails for nonprofits
- Blogs, webinars, and training videos (as necessary)
- FAQ topics, such as compliance and best practices in messaging
- Additional slides for customer success (if necessary)
- External release notes
- Marketing Collateral Development: Create engaging marketing materials to build excitement around new features and increase product awareness among customers and prospects. Deliverables include:
- Product update blog posts
- Social content for feature announcements (includes new journey announcements)
- Website updates and new feature sub-pages (includes new journey announcements)
- Case studies highlighting product successes
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience leading content strategy and execution, with a track record of taking content initiatives from 0-1.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to design and manage content strategies that align with sales and customer success goals, while creating new revenue opportunities.
- Content Creation: Strong skills in creating engaging content, particularly videos, that communicate complex information in an accessible way.
- CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM tools like HubSpot for managing campaigns, tracking leads, and deploying content.
- Curiosity & Discovery: Strong discovery and questioning skills to gather insights that inform your content strategies.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with leadership to align content strategies with business goals.
- Familiarity with video production tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to use content as a growth engine to create opportunities.
- Experience in a tech or SaaS environment, particularly in creating content that drives revenue growth.
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations or fundraising technologies is a plus.
