Data Analyst
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, data modeling, and the use of various data tools and services. You will play a critical role in the creation of Source to Target (S2T) mappings, data profiling, and building comprehensive data models. If you are experienced in SQL, Databricks, and AWS services, and you enjoy working with data to derive insights and support decision-making, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain Source to Target mapping documents, ensuring the successful flow of data from source systems to target destinations.
Conduct data profiling activities to understand data content, structure, and quality, identifying any discrepancies or issues.
Develop data models to support various analytical initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs.
Build and maintain expertise in data modeling best practices to ensure data structures support business requirements effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret requirements, delivering data models that align with organizational goals.
Utilize SQL, Databricks, and AWS services to develop and optimize queries, transformations, and data processes.
Perform data validation, data cleansing, and ensure data quality to support high data reliability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Proven experience in data mapping, data modeling, and data profiling.
Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
Hands-on experience with Databricks for building, optimizing, and maintaining data workflows.
Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, RDS) for data storage, analysis, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in creating ETL pipelines to support data integration.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of data quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
