Sr. Digital Strategy Lead

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a skilled and motivated Senior Digital Strategy Lead to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with creating and implementing digital strategies to improve paper-based processes to a digital framework, Have a strong knowledge, base of the Internal Revenue Services (IRS), as well as strong customer relationship skills. This position will be located in Lanham, MD and will be an onsite position within the United States. Core hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate the strategic direction for improving paper-based processes
• Collaborate with corporate leadership, agency senior leadership and functional stakeholders across the client's organization to identify, implement, and maintain policy, business process, and internal controls that provide significant business value
• Prepare policy and program reports, data analyses, data visualizations, or other work products on digitalization Trends
• Must have a strong knowledge base with the Department of Treasury and the IRS preferred Inflation Reduction Act
• Lead business development activities to drive growth
• Assure standards of quality, integrity, and inclusion

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
• Experience with strategic planning and road mapping
• Knowledge of IRS systems and applications
• Analytical Thinking - Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business
• Excellent Communications - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors; ability to effectively write/technical writing; and ability to understand and translate technical approaches and methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with a vast array of technical and financial personnel
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance with Internal Revenue Service.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of IRS paper forms and taxpayer data
• Understanding of digitization projects at IRS
• Able to use project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint, and capacity models
• Experience in IT modernization and digitization
• Excellent time management skills

Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain suitability/public trust for the IRS.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
