We are seeking a highly skilled SAN Storage Administrator with a strong background in SAN storage technologies and Veritas Cluster System (VCS) support. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. This position is critical for maintaining and optimizing a large IT infrastructure in a 24/7 environment, including some nights and weekends for production changes. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and documentation skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support high-availability clusters running Veritas Infoscale (Infoscale 7.4.2, 8.*).
  • Manage and troubleshoot VXVM/VXFS storage and file systems.
  • Perform daily systems administration tasks, including user management (e.g., setuser).
  • Oversee SAN replication processes.
  • Assist with incident, change management, and closure, ensuring all tasks follow the documented processes.
  • Plan, test, and execute production changes with minimal disruption.

Technical Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • SAN Storage Technologies: At least 10 years of hands-on experience with SAN Connectivity, storage allocation, and deallocation.
  • Veritas Cluster System (VCS): Strong experience in VCS administration and management.
  • Linux/Unix Systems: Familiarity with RHEL 7/8, Solaris 11.4, and experience with SSH configuration, cron jobs, and other system-level tasks.
  • VMware/Virtualization: Experience with VMware vCenter for RHEL VM management.
  • Scripting & Automation: Ability to work with shell and Perl scripts; familiarity with Ansible for automation.
  • Storage Solutions: Experience with ZFS, VDEVS, and LDOMs configuration.
  • Ticketing & Incident Management: Familiarity with BMC Remedy and ServiceNow for incident and change management.

Additional Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency with Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with Tripwire IDS and BladeLogic Server Management.
  • Strong understanding of change management processes and adherence to documented protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service and follow-up.
  • Ability to work independently with a professional attitude and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

  • 24/7 IT operations, with flexibility for night and weekend shifts as required for production changes and incident management.
