Client is seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Architect for a 6-month contract with potential to extend or convert to FTE. The client is looking for EXCELLENT communication and all of the required technical skills.

Position Description
This consultant in this role is critical in addressing and resolving stability and performance issues across storage, databases, and systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise and the ability to analyze, design, and implement solutions in a complex IT environment comprising Isilon storage, Oracle and Sybase databases, and Linux and Windows operating systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Stability & Performance Optimization:
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance and stability issues across storage, database, and system layers.
• Develop and implement solutions to optimize performance and ensure system reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and apply findings to prevent recurring issues.
• Solution Design & Implementation:
• Design scalable and robust infrastructure solutions tailored to the organization's storage, database, and system requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements that align with business goals.
• Create and maintain detailed architecture and solution design documentation.
• Environment Management:
• Manage and optimize Isilon storage solutions, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
• Support and enhance Oracle and Sybase database environments, focusing on performance tuning and efficient query handling.
• Oversee Linux and Windows server environments, ensuring proper configuration, patching, and security.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
• Partner with stakeholders to understand infrastructure challenges and align solutions with business objectives.
• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to operations and development teams.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Monitoring & Reporting:
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively detect performance bottlenecks.
• Generate regular reports on system health, performance metrics, and solution impact.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on storage, databases, and system performance.
• Proven expertise in Isilon storage, Oracle, and Sybase database administration and optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in performance monitoring and optimization tools.
• Hands-on experience with storage configurations, database tuning, and server performance optimization.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED Qualifications

• At least 1 Certification in relevant technologies such as Oracle Database Administration, Linux/Windows Server, or storage systems.
• Recent Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-based storage and database solutions.
