Systems Administrator II Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA
The Systems Administrator II will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of the global IT infrastructure. This role demands advanced expertise in IT hardware and software and involves system provisioning and maintenance aligned with company objectives and industry standards. Reporting to the Regional IT Field Services Delivery Director, the role focuses on overseeing daily operations, maintaining close communication with the Regional Service Delivery Director, IT teams, and outsourced partners, while fostering strong relationships with local customers and business leaders. The position emphasizes providing IT support for a specific Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve a wide range of technical challenges.
- Plan, recommend, and execute software and hardware upgrades, patches, and configurations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to system implementation and business continuity initiatives.
- Create, document, and uphold policies and procedures for GMS Systems Infrastructure.
- Maintain asset management processes, including inventory tracking and technical specifications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in line with security and privacy best practices.
- Deliver IT support for Windows and macOS devices within agreed service levels.
- Perform maintenance tasks during non-business hours (nights and weekends) as needed.
- Support mobile devices and technologies (iOS and Android).
- Offer executive and white-glove support services.
- Provide training and support for audio-visual systems as necessary.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and a positive user experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to meet SLA and service objectives.
- Review active tickets daily to ensure appropriate actions are being taken and seek opportunities for proactive customer support.
- Adhere to established security policies and standards.
- Partner with Service Delivery teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective/preventative measures.
- Lead technical discussions with customers to address critical technical challenges.
- Take responsibility for personal development and participate in training opportunities provided by the company.
- Limited travel may be required.
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate should have direct experience with the following technologies:
- Apple OS and Windows environments
- Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Teams Rooms and associated technologies (e.g., Neat, Yealink)
- Print management solutions (Uniflow, Papercut)
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Intune
- ServiceNow
- Design applications (SolidWorks, KeyShot)
- Cisco routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi controllers, and access points
- Polycom video conferencing devices
Education & Certifications
- A technical degree with 5 7 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) desired.
Proficiencies
- Expertise in LAN/WAN concepts and troubleshooting network-related issues.
- Advanced knowledge of desktop environments (Windows 10/11, macOS) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
