The SAP Business System Specialist will act as an IT Service Resource to provide functional and technical Support to business stakeholders. This position is the expert in the SCM in Checkpoint SAP ECC and Non SAP system landscape.

This position will be part of Application Support Team and reporting directly to the Sr. IT Director, but a certain level of autonomy is required to drive and deliver all the changes in the SAP instance solely with help of external SAP Partners for some complex enhancement.

Job Duties

  • Provides support and enhancement delivery for the CoE supported modules in the current business landscape.
  • Manages incoming change requests.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues for supported applications.
  • Maintains knowledgebase of application issues
  • Communicate with users to resolve issues.
  • Provides technical support to protect application SLAs and the CoE s ability to deliver strategic projects on time and on budget
  • Participation in SAP projects implementations
  • Participate in scoping and new development planning as a representative of the support organization
  • Escalate issues and coordinate solutions with SAP development team
  • Mentors new team members
  • Handles small enhancement requests and coordinates solutions with other teams that support other SAP Add-on or Non-SAP applications
  • Ensure system enhancement designs are aligned with the corporate objectives and SAP best practice.
  • Communicate / escalate support issue trends and gaps to Line Manager
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and Users to understand business impacts and priorities

Education

Bachelor s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field or similar

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 Years of experience in SAP MM/Logistics/WM/PP and cross functional configuration. This includes project and user support for Warehouse, Production and Procurement, and other business areas, ideally for consumer goods company.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Enjoy working as part of a boarder global team
  • Customer oriented behavior and good communication skills
  • Good analytic skills
  • Experience supporting highly customized and modified SAP ERP implementations
  • General knowledge in the modules SAP ERP SD-LE/MM-LO and expert knowledge in one or more SAP modules with focus on SAP LE and PP.
  • Strong experience in SAP Intercompany process
  • Willing to cooperate closely with business stakeholders and SAP Partners
  • Awareness of change management principles
  • Experience in an incident management support service
  • Knowledge and experience with 3rd party systems, interfaces, iDocs, APIs
  • This position requires a fair amount of critical thinking and problem solving with varying degrees of complexity to support a culture of continuing process improvement in working with business and IT colleagues.
  • Ability to provide input/clarity on business requirements and options to implement those requirements.
  • Good basic project management and organizational skills: Ability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects simultaneously

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of MTD functional area e.g. SAP PM/CS
  • ABAP skills for system behavior analysis is a plus.
  • SAP certification for modules such as MM, WM, PP, etc. is a plus.
  • Willing to travel as needed
