Corvex Systems is addressing America’s critical dependence on foreign drone motor suppliers by establishing scalable domestic manufacturing operations. Over 85% of global UAV motors are produced overseas, leaving the U.S. commercial and defense sectors vulnerable to supply chain disruptions. Our mission is to develop an advanced, automated, and scalable manufacturing process for high-performance BLDC drone motors, establishing America’s first true domestic UAV motor production facility.
As CTO, you will be at the forefront of engineering leadership, technological vision, and manufacturing innovation at Corvex Systems. This is an opportunity to define the company’s technical strategy, spearhead R&D efforts, and oversee the development of high-performance UAV motor systems—all while holding a key executive role in a high-growth startup.
Your Role
As the Chief Technology Officer, you will drive technological innovation, engineering execution, and product development at Corvex Systems. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing Raven, our high-performance motor line, and implementing FAB1, our cutting-edge domestic production facility.
This is a broad and strategic role, where responsibilities will evolve as the company scales. Your ability to set and execute a technical vision will directly shape Corvex’s trajectory in an industry with massive market demand.

Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute Corvex’s engineering and manufacturing roadmap to achieve rapid scalability and product excellence
- Motor Design & Development: Oversee R&D for BLDC motors optimized for efficiency, power density, and reliability
- Manufacturing Process Innovation: Drive the development of scalable, automated production techniques for stator winding, rotor assembly, and precision machining
- Automation & Robotics: Lead the implementation of robotically facilitated material flow and CNC-driven processes to minimize human labor and reduce costs
- Facility Buildout & Scaling: Oversee the technical development of FAB1, ensuring efficient workflow and modular scaling capabilities
- Material & Supply Chain Optimization: Establish U.S.-based sourcing strategies for neodymium magnets, silicon steel laminations, and other key materials
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Guide mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams in integrating cutting-edge motor control technologies
- Executive Leadership: As a C-suite executive, participate in high-level decision-making, fundraising, and hiring
This is a high-impact, executive-level role, ideal for someone who thrives in the deep tech + manufacturing space. While no single candidate is expected to have expertise in all areas, a combination of the following will be highly valued:
Core Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related fields). Advanced degrees preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or motor production
- Track record of engineering leadership, preferably in a high-growth startup or industrial R&D environment
- Deep understanding of BLDC motor design, power electronics, or electromechanical systems
- Strong expertise in automation, CNC machining, and robotic manufacturing
- Familiarity with motor control algorithms, PCB design, or embedded firmware is a plus
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, resource-constrained startup environment
- A passion for American industrial resurgence and a strong sense of mission alignment
