Role: Radio/Microwave Field Technician
Duration: 960 hours
Location: Hybrid (Candidates should be based in Wisconsin to support various locations within the client's service territory.)
Scope of Work:
The technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining various communications systems. This includes:
- Digital and analog microwave systems
- Digital paging systems
- Mobile radio/data systems
- Multiple address systems (MAS)
- Channel banks
- LAN/WAN equipment
- Data circuits
- Telephone circuits
Must Have Skillsets:
- In-depth knowledge of FCC rules and regulations
- Proficiency in both analog and digital electronics
- Experience with digital and analog microwave radio systems, including multiple address systems, point-to-point systems, digital paging, and two-way radio
- Understanding of electronics and electrical power, mechanical principles, wide band FM radio systems
- Knowledge in LAN/WAN and data cabling systems, CSU/DSU routers and hubs
- Familiarity with grounding system architectures, primary and basic rate Integrated System Data Network (ISDN), and data telecommunications
- Skills in engineering and design, focusing on reliability and performance
- Strong computer diagnostic skills.
