Business Operations Analyst
We are looking for a Business & Finance Operations Analyst (W2- Contract to Hire Position in Irving, TX) with solid experience working for/within an Application Development / Technology Department with 7+ years of experience focused on Business Operations, Process and Systems administration experience. This role is key in helping organizations streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure that technology supports business objectives effectively. Position requires individual to regularly apply analytical and process skills plus knowledge on system and financial knowledge. Provide recommendations to IT Leadership regarding system administration or process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform system administration (Workday Financials, SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps)
- Load & maintain data from a variety of sources
- Manage and track vendor contracts and SOW’s to ensure compliance with internal policies and SLA’s
- Assist with staff planning, resource capacity tracking, and new hire onboarding
- Working with leaders to define business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
- Review timesheets, create purchase requisitions and code invoices in Workday, as needed
- Create end user training manuals and update procedure guides
- Look for efficiencies and streamline processes and put forth recommendations
- Ensure information is aligned to appropriate financial categories
Requirements
- 7+ years relevant Business Operations, Process and Systems administration experience
- Experience working in an Application Development / Technology department, knowledge of SDLC and Agile project management practices
- Identifying and resolving system-related issues and providing ongoing support to users.
- Worked in identifying and improving processes and creating efficiencies
- Knowledge of software development budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Prior experience with ERP systems and reporting tool, preferably Workday and PowerBI
- Understanding of finance, budgets, capitalized expenditures, etc.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to be highly collaborative in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
- Great attention to details & strong analytics abilities
