We are committed to operational excellence and fostering a positive work environment. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to join our team. Lynx is headquartered in Eagan, MN with production facilities in San Diego, CA and Jiaxing, China.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Supply Chain Managers (SCM) are engaged in every facet of the business process for their assigned sales accounts – planning, purchasing, production, transportation, inventory storage & management, distribution, and customer service. It is the primary responsibility of the SCM to manage all physical and financial transactions relating to the sales opportunities of the sales accounts they are assigned. The SCM will ensure the right amount of the right items are ordered and produced to deliver to the right place at the right time.

Must be a dependable, highly motivated, self-starting individual who enjoys a fast-paced work environment. The Supply Chain Manager will be a critical thinker who is detail-oriented and has a high level of accuracy.

This position reports to our Director of Supply Chain and expected office hours are 8a-5p in our HQ office located in Eagan, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Collaborates with Sales and Product Development teams in project scoping and planning activities
  • Partners with account executive with strategic pricing initiatives and preparation of customer quotations
  • Control all inventory and prototype purchasing for assigned projects
  • Negotiate pricing with freight forwarders and supply freight quotations to customers.
  • Manage open purchase orders with vendors. Ensuring that all lead time and pricing expectations are being met and accurately reflected in our ERP system.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain demand planning strategy and process to suit the needs of the clients and inventory items for assigned sales accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance to company metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
  • Work with freight vendors to forecast demand and select transportation routes to maximize economy considering price, transit times and customer delivery expectations.
  • Ensure customs documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, forwarders, customers and agents in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience - 3+ years operational experience in supply chain role where 1+ years have included international experience.
  • Transportation - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Logistics – Competence with Customs Clearance procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Problem Sensitivity -- The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem alone but recognizing when to escalate to the cross-functional team and supervisor.
  • Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
