Essential Functions
Supply Chain Management
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company. He/she must be available for one month training in Italy at the headquarters of the Unitedcoatings Group.

Essential Functions
Supply Chain Management
- Maintain approved vendor lists
- Develop and implement cross-functional supplier assessment guideline
- Supplier development as needed based on initial assessment
- Manage ongoing relationships with suppliers, vendors and sub-contractors to ensure that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
- Develop and lead quarterly supplier scorecards process with cross-functional team, supplier feedback and action plan for identified deficiencies
- Identify, review and manage risk in the supply chain
- Develop and manage supplier exit process
- Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to identify opportunities to reduce overall purchasing costs
- Issue supplier charge backs
- Track and report on market trends for key commodities
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards and OSHA
- Work with EH&S Manager to ensure contractors are instructed, trained and sign-off on Turbocoating’s safety rules when performing in-house work
- Ensure contractor annual insurance certificates are received and up-to-date
- Liase with functional managers (eg sales, engineering, production) to understand current needs and anticipate demand for goods and materials and develop plans, cost estimates and schedules for integrating these needs into existing purchasing activities
- Initiate RFQ and lead vendor selection process
- Negotiate price, delivery time, incoterms and terms and conditions with suppliers
- New Vendor and item setup in ERP
- Ensure purchase requistions and capital request forms completed and proper approvals obtained within signatory guidelines
- Place purchase order after receiving proper approvals within signatory guidelines
- Manage order confirmation process
- Manage RMA process
- Open order monitoring and follow up
- Work with the Logistics Supervisor to establish min/max levels and reorder points for inventory items
- Establish strategic purchasing methods by inventory item (VMI, vending machines, consignment, blanket orders, etc.)
- Work with the Logistics Supervisor to monitor and report inventory turns to ensure optimal cash management and just in time deliveries
- Report on monthly consumption of key raw materials to management
- Participate in the daily production meetings
- Develop policies and procedures in the area of procurement
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
- Provide data for the development of annual business plans and departmental budgets
- Plan, implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility, initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
- Communicate with Italian HQ’s Purchasing Department in order to share best practices, best suppliers, best pricing, etc
- Lead implementation of ERP as it relates to purchasing function
- Other special projects as may be assigned
- Serve as back up to Logistics Supervisor in the area of Inventory Control
- Adhere to the Company's Quality and Safety Management System and in accordance with its procedures and requirements
- Special projects
- Order proper containers, labels, placards, etc., for preparing the transport of hazardous waste, used oils, and universal waste.
- Respond to leaks and spills as a member of the Haz-Mat Emergency Response Team by loading waste into transport vehicles.
- Clean up spills in the Hazardous Waste containers
- Properly remediate spills and prepare containers for Hazardous Waste
- Move Hazardous Waste cintainers to the 90 day accumulation area for proper storage and disposal
- Inspect the 90-day accumulation area, sign manifests, and prepare waste for proper disposal by labeling and dating.

Education
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in materials management in manufacturing organization
- Extensive knowledge of world class manufacturing processes such as: Kanban, MRP, JIT and Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping experience.
- Extensive deep understanding of manufacturing process flow and the importance of all aspects of ERP (sales, production, maintenance, purchasing and inventory and accounting). SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to identify and resolve process issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Lean & Six Sigma application experience.
