Regional Sales Director

Dealer Teamwork seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented Regional Sales Director to join our growing team and lead sales efforts within a designated territory in the Southeast market.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional Sales Director will develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire and retain automotive dealership clients. This includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and managing a robust sales pipeline, and exceeding revenue targets while demonstrating a deep understanding of digital marketing trends and their application within the automotive industry.
OVERVIEW
This key role is responsible for developing and managing relationships with automotive dealerships, driving revenue by selling digital advertising solutions that enhance their online presence and reach potential customers through targeted online marketing strategies, including display ads, search engine marketing, and social media campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, and a comprehensive understanding of digital advertising platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Identify and prospect new automotive dealership clients within assigned territory.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, close deals, and meet or exceed sales quotas
- Clearly convey the company's value proposition and overcome objections via virtual and face-to-face presentations
- Educate clients on our strategic solutions and how the company will play a vital role in their business success
- Develop customized digital advertising proposals tailored to each dealership's needs and goals.
- Present and negotiate advertising packages to dealership owners and managers.
- Daily documentation into the internal CRM
Market Knowledge & Insights:
- Stay updated on automotive industry trends, digital advertising technologies, and consumer behavior.
- Analyze market data to identify potential opportunities and target demographics.
- Understand the competitive landscape and differentiate your offerings.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of company products and features
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal parties on high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities
- Share best practices and knowledge within the sales team.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in the digital advertising industry, with a strong preference for experience selling to automotive clients.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and achieving revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of digital platforms, online advertising principles and best practices (including search engine marketing (SEM), social media advertising, programmatic advertising, and display advertising), automotive, and data marketing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to sales.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a bonus.
