Duties And Responsibilities
- Executes Win with Winner’s market analysis to assess and identify the strategy/actions needed to both defend and gain share at customer accounts in the marketplace.
- Aid in development and implementation of sales plans to generate revenue and grow market share.
- Aid in developing and executing specific “go to market” strategies based on understanding of the current/potential customers
- Drive the Customer Acquisition Process (CAP) implementation and execution to win business; work with Sales, Customer Service team members, manufacturing and interface directly with the customer to deliver a successful CAP
- Responsible for sales growth (prospecting, networking, and cold calling) and account management (business retention and further penetration of existing customers) for Valley Roller division product line in a defined geographic area in the US.
- Establishes strategic sales to achieve corporate sales objectives of products and services.
- Capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
- Achieves satisfactory market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
- Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.
- Maintains the corporate customer database platform (Salesforce).
- Identifies/uncovers and creates opportunities in Salesforce
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
- Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
- Support Sales Managers by communicating leads uncovered for Fife, MAGPOWR, Tidland, Webex, Componex, and RotoMetrics products
- Achieve the strategic assigned sales quota/plan focused on growth
- Understand market trends, competitive technologies, customer needs; sharing information with product management and R&D team, provides feedback on new product development (NPD)
- Develop and maintain solid relations with current and potential customers to identify needs and opportunities; provides VOC (voice of customer) to internal teams.
- Ensure finished product meets quality standards and performs to customer expectations.
- Ability to work as a part of a team environment as well as independently.
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed
- Assists in sales forecasting activities.
- Represent company at trade shows/association meetings to promote Maxcess solutions.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Meet with customers, maintain relationships, negotiates and closes deals. Identify and develop partnerships with external and internal customers
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Accountable and measured on the executed profitable share growth and development of assigned customers
- Utilizes available resources (management, technical, manufacturing) to accomplish objectives with customers.
- Completes call reports, expense reports, and other communications on a timely basis.
- 5-7 years minimum sales experience in a technical solutions-based product environment
- Experience in roll covering technology is required
- Territory management and technical communication skills is required
- Driven and self-managed, proactive, and capable of establishing own priorities with limited oversight
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Windows based software
- Proficient use of a CRM platform (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and monitor multiple simultaneous initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact directly with various technical customer stakeholders and internal parties, while confidently making decisions and executing duties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills; can adapt strategy quickly for changing conditions
- High level of professionalism expected
- Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment – noise, dust, odors
- Be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Sit/stand/walk 8-10 hours a day
- Must be able to travel to customer locations by car or flight to customers locations throughout the United States. Up to 75% travel (on a 5-day work week).
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Web handling industry experience strongly preferred
