GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company to ensure efficient and effective business processes, strategies, and systems. This role involves managing operational and supply chain teams, implementing best practices, optimizing resources, and ensuring that the company’s strategic objectives and operational goals are met. This role will collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and enhance operational performance while maintaining high standards of quality from our manufacturing and shipping to our retail partners.

Please note that the person in this role will be required to work in-office at our Alliance TX location. Remote or hybrid work options are not available for this position and this role is expected to be in office 5-days per week. There will be travel required between the Alliance, TX and Coppell, TX office locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company’s strategic plans and operational goals. Identify opportunities for operational improvement and lead initiatives to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization.
  • Operational Management: Provide leadership direction and mentoring of the operational and supply chain leaders for daily operations. Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, including production, logistics, supply chain, and customer service. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational effectiveness and performance.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and create professional development plans to enhance team capabilities. Build and develop leadership teams using a supportive and collaborative approach; championing employee development to drive continuous improvement at all levels.
  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Manage and optimize operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining quality standards. Work closely with the finance and supply chain to forecast and report on operational expenses and performance metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational functions to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance service delivery. Implement new technologies, tools, and systems that improve operational performance and scalability.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure operational compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and company policies. Proactively identify risks and challenges in operations and develop strategies to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment between operational and business objectives. Support the development of scalable solutions to meet customer needs and business growth.

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong business planning skills to complete strategic projects with implications for business areas with rapidly evolving business processes
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for operational functions.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management, logistics, supply chain manufacturing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational systems, performance metrics, and process improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and extensive walking in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30-lbs and bend
  • Travel may vary between the Alliance location and Coppell location, must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel several times per year for manufacturing vendor audits
