A General Clerk (Remote) is responsible for performing various administrative tasks from a remote setting to ensure efficient operations within an organization. The position may involve managing documentation, data entry, customer service, and clerical support, all done remotely using digital tools and communication platforms.
The General Clerk (Remote) will provide administrative support, data management, and clerical services to various departments while working from a remote location. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in remote communication tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Entry: Input and update data into systems, databases, and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Document Management: Organize, store, and retrieve digital files, ensuring they are easily accessible and organized for the team.
- Email Management: Respond to and manage emails, including drafting professional responses, organizing inboxes, and routing messages to the appropriate team members.
- Record Keeping: Maintain digital records, update files, and track document status. Ensure compliance with any relevant policies or regulations.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communication, answering queries and providing support via email, phone, or messaging platforms.
- Scheduling: Assist in coordinating meetings, managing calendars, and arranging virtual appointments or events.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service through remote communication platforms, including responding to client inquiries and resolving issues.
- General Clerical Support: Perform tasks such as creating reports, data verification, generating spreadsheets, and assisting with administrative tasks.
- Collaborate Remotely: Work with teams through virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams) and participate in remote meetings.
- File Organization: Sort and maintain digital files, ensuring a system for easy access and retrieval. Perform routine data backups to safeguard records.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Support specific projects or tasks as assigned by the team or department.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred).
- Proven experience in clerical, administrative, or office roles; remote experience is a plus.
