As a Mechanical Design Intern, you will play a key role in bringing to life the organization’s goals of designing small-scale personal items. - Mechanical Design & CAD Modeling: Design, analyze, and prototype components using Autodesk Inventor and other CAD tools.
- Reverse Engineering: Study and deconstruct existing toys and mechanical designs to understand manufacturing methods and improve designs.
- Prototyping & Testing: Assist in 3D printing and basic prototyping to evaluate product functionality and manufacturability.
- Industry Research & Outreach: Investigate best practices in toy design, materials, and production methods, including injection molding, 3D printing, and assembly.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with a cross-functional team, document design iterations, and contribute to a structured product development pipeline.
- Education: Pursuing or completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- CAD Proficiency: At least 1 year of experience in Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent CAD software).
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing CAD models, mechanical designs, or relevant projects.
