Seeking a skilled Mainframe Network Specialist to manage and support IBM z/OS mainframe network software, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities
:

  • Configuration and Administration: Configure and administer IBM z/OS mainframe network software and related third-party system software.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for Mainframe Networking issues during business hours and on-call support outside of standard working hours.
  • Project Collaboration: Serve as a Mainframe Networking resource for internal and external projects.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor mainframe networking components and implement necessary actions to resolve performance issues.
  • Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation as required.


Requirements
:

  • Experience:
    • TCP/IP and related products/protocols.
    • SNA, VTAM, APPN/Enterprise Extender.
    • File transfer tools (e.g., Connect Direct).
    • Session management tools (e.g., TPX, Teleview, CL/Supersession).
    • Network management tools (e.g., NETVIEW, Netmaster/TCPIP).
    • Print server tools (e.g., VPS).
    • Skilled technician with foundational knowledge in most and advanced expertise in some of the following areas:
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Self-starter with a track record of completing tasks/projects with attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple activities simultaneously and balancing priorities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Team player with the ability to work independently as needed.
