Position : Azure/Google Cloud Platform Solution architect

Location : San Jose, CA (Hybrid)

Experiecne : 15+ years

In this role you are responsible to work closely together with DevOps teams in their effort to build solutions in Azure & Google Cloud, by supporting them with solution design, sharing cloud knowledge & cloud upskilling path according to their expertise and capacity; co-creating and agreeing on a joint milestone planning, discuss cost management and security aspects part of their onboarding to cloud.

This role is part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Participate and contribute in Cloud Platform & Product Architecture for cloud based applications.
• Provide expertise and leadership regarding Cloud Architecture for both infrastructure and applications in Azure & Google Cloud Platform.
• Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing across multiple streams (cloud native)
• Develops technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations.
• Ensures security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions.
• Develop PoC/PoV as and when required.
• Acts as a subject-matter expert around Azure & Google Cloud Platform
• Define technology standards and future state for Cloud Services
• Creation and maintenance of guidelines, reference architectures, guiding principles and solution building blocks
• Creation and maintenance of technology roadmaps for automation and programmable infrastructure
• Research, cost-justify and drive technological improvements through position papers
• Cooperate with enterprise architecture to assure overall fit & integration and define target architectures
• Standardize automation capabilities and create automation best practices
• Decision owner for architectural decisions for Google Cloud Platform
• Identifying the decisions to be taken about the solution
• Advise management to support the decision making process
• Communicating the decisions and their impact to stakeholders
• Create and supervise design within the DevOps teams and projects/programs
• Assist with application team intakes regarding improving their automation capabilities
• Create solution design together with the application team which has the best fit for their application with the current provided services
• Detect new needed cloud services to be developed and align with CCoE product owner
• Review and/or approve technical solutions assurance of compliance with directives, standards and guidelines
• Ensure that the implementation is in line with design
• Maintenance of design documents within the domain

Education

Bachelor s/Master degree in IT, Business Management, Computer Science or Electronics

Experience

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Cloud Platform & Product Architect
• Experience in setting up enterprise level account structures and security models in both Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience in configuring and using PaaS offerings
• In depth knowledge of cloud-based delivery models
• Extensive knowledge in cloud based data integration patterns and architectures
• Troubleshooting complex scenarios related to an Application Deployment
• Engineering and coding skills applied in an agile way
• Knowledge of and experience with IT architecture methodologies and processes (e.g. TOGAF) for supporting ASML s cloud architecture and supporting other target architectures to incorporate cloud services.
• Service management methods and processes (ITIL) to support current teams in their transition towards agile/DevOps teams in the mindset you build it, your run it, you fix it
• Experience with outsourcing of IT services
• Proven track record in road mapping, technical architecture design, solution definition, project management/execution, change/risk management
• Work experience from large, international companies and have dealt with or worked for global service providers.
• Knowledge and certification of minimal Archimate 2.1 or willing to certify;
