SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Develop and execute simulations of imaging sensor systems including characterization of the performance of the optical sensor and associated digital signal processing algorithms. Position responsibilities to include:
- Designing and developing threat detection and discrimination algorithms capable of being implemented in real-time hardware.
- Perform analysis/design of optics and sensors including detailed account of atmospheric transmission effects.
- Analyzing the data generated by the real-time system and/or digital models.
- Collecting field data using the system under development.
- Strong experience with programming in higher level languages such as C/C++ and Matlab.
- Strong experience with Linux.
- Experience with electronic warfare and Infrared Countermeasure principles.
- Develop applications and scripts used for data mining signature databases.
- Integration of System Models (e.g. Simulink, Executables, Scripts) into a comprehensive digital simulation of the system under development.
- Analyze IRCM system/subsystem components to determine performance and performance optimization options based on analysis findings
- Main Effects Analysis o Signal Characterization
- Algorithm SW Debugging (i.e. Causality Identification)
- Familiarity with distributing computing HW/SW management in Linux is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing algorithms in AMD (Xilinx) FPGAs is a plus.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on experience.
