  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the development of desktop applications, web-based applications, and the corporate website. In this position, you will have considerable autonomy and ownership of your projects.

This position is remote and contract via 1099.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and enhance existing programs, identifying and resolving defects to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Bring a full stack approach to design, develop, and maintain applications - primarily in VB and VB .Net but including other languages as needed.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements and implement those requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and release management.
  • Programming responsibilities include but are not limited to
  1. Hands-on programming, maintaining, and enhancing legacy code.
  2. Coding and debugging applications.
  3. Troubleshooting and resolving errors.
  4. Profiling and analyzing algorithms for optimization.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years application development and implementation experience.
  • 2+ years with object oriented programming, .NET (2.0 or higher), experience using VB6 and VB.NET.
  • Proven, hands-on experience programming in VB.NET. Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in building, maintaining, and optimizing applications using VB.NET.
  • Ability to document software well.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines .
  • Self-starter with initiative who takes personal responsibility and pride in their work.
  • Ability to be productive as an individual and working on a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience developing Windows installer packages with LUA using Setup Factory
  • Experience running test suites on virtual machine such as VMWare Workstation Player
  • Experience with development of class libraries using VB .Net, C++, and C#
