Duties: The primary role of a Senior Business Analyst is to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to facilitate the development of effective and efficient solutions. They play a crucial role in ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Note :Must have business process documentation background - ability to gather technical requirements - user stories and feature creation (agile space) - ideal candidate has worked with benefits vendors in awards compensation space
Responsibility Summary:
  • Work as a member of an Agile product team with others from Digital Product Management, Technology, and other divisional stakeholders to maintain, enhance or integrate firm systems and data.
  • Supports one or more highly complex business processes
  • Create, maintain, and occasionally review business process models, data flows, prototypes, business requirements, use cases and test cases.
  • Create and execute multiple user stories and features at the same time of moderate to high complexity.
  • Understanding of cross divisional systems and impacts of change.
  • Responsible for business systems case development and presentation for new systems and data.
  • Mentors less experienced members of the team
Qualifications Required in the Job:
  • Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in Technology strongly preferred (or relevant work experience).
  • Advanced knowledge of standard Business System Analyst principles and practices.
  • 2-5 years experience designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.
  • Ability to create new business processes and data usage to promote efficiency.
  • The ability to multi-task and work with leader to prioritize assigned user stories / projects.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills to investigate, resolve and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
  • Associate must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to summarize moderate to highly complex business cases, system information and concepts and clearly communicate to cross divisional leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to provide working system prototypes and scenario modelling.
  • Advanced understanding of data warehouse concepts.
  • Ability to create user stories or execute pre-existing stories.
Problem Solving:
  • Diagram moderate to highly complex business processes, data flow and architecture for new systems and data.
  • Follow moderate to highly complex data flow to interpret source of information in support of new systems and data.
  • Proactively drive change to systems based on business system impact analysis.
  • Serve as functional lead in technical implementation of agreed upon solutions.
  • Collaborate with associates and leadership across divisions
Decision Making:
  • Decisions made based on moderate to highly complex business system impact analysis and involve business process or data flow recommendations and may impact cross-functional systems.
  • Business process redesign decisions are generally made in collaboration with divisional stakeholders and have a moderate risk to associates.
Span of Influence:
  • System changes driven from this role generally have a moderate risk to the firm.
  • While there are no direct people responsibilities, coordinating with others cross divisionally to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines will be required.
  • This position requires a deep understanding of how systems interact with one another and impact division operations and initiatives.
