Summary: Performs complex analysis of business goals, and objectives. Plans, designs, and executes business processes improvements to optimize and support operational business units.
Position Purpose:
The purpose of the business process analyst role is to provide business requirements analysis and execution support for solutions supporting quality measurement across Fiserv. Working closely with business unit leaders, to identify and develop operational process improvements, automation and KPI metrics for executive leadership. This position will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improving operational quality through metrics, standards and enabling technologies. The role is expected to work under minimal supervision.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead in providing analytical support utilizing Fiserv s multiple data warehouses
- Ability to gather business requirements to create complex SQL scripts on Netezza, Oracle, DB2 and SQL server platforms
- Perform SQL server development to support both Operations and other ancillary technical systems
- Developing of various SQL reporting services, with focus on SSRS
- Identify and automate appropriate KPI reporting and analytic solutions to meet specific business needs.
- Effectively communicate data findings to all levels of management, clients, and internal teams independently
- Develop cross-functional relationships with other business units and provide analytics as needed.
- Define solution scope and targets for optimization enhancements. Identify success criteria.
- Initiate and drive optimization changes within a business unit s process that will improve the overall efficiency of the team
- Document the system by creating business and technical process flows using MS Visio
- Work with technical teams to map data sources to business needs.
- Ability to understand and calculate financial impacts of projects and initiatives
- Working high impact projects with multiple tracks of work
- Works independently. Requires little or no supervision to complete
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in business Administration or STEM related field
Job Related Experience:
- Requires 8-10 years of business and data analysis experience in back office operations.
- Expertise in coding VB Script and Python
- Expertise in ETL design, development and implementation using SSIS
- Expert knowledge of MS Visio
- Experience in SQL data retention and migration
- Ability to analyze SQL applications for systemic process improvements
- Experience with developing and implementing web-based utilities to supplement back-office tools.
- Project planning, project management and project execution experience a plus.
