Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our team for a 5+ month contract position. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in Harness, AWS, and GitHub Actions, with hands-on experience in managing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and optimizing cloud infrastructure. This is a hybrid position based in Houston, TX, with one day a week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Harness, AWS, and GitHub Actions to support rapid development cycles.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and code into the cloud environment.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any build, deployment, or infrastructure issues.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management to ensure smooth and consistent deployments.
  • Implement and manage DevOps best practices to improve system reliability and streamline workflows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments and system improvements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment automation.
  • Solid experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and its core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
  • Proficiency in GitHub Actions for managing automation of workflows and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.
  • Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (one day per week onsite in Houston).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
