Job Summary:
We are a growing, super fast-moving team of Data and Product People looking for some hands-on help in crafting, developing and presenting quantitative analysis that will help our product managers make better decisions using numbers. You will be crafting stories with meaningful insights based on data analysis.
You will get hands-on experience with best practices on quantifying and presenting impactful data, a sneak-peek behind the scenes of the Software Development Life Cycle, and you’ll learn about the ins and outs of new product development by working side-by-side with a talented team of Data Product Managers, Data Product Analysts and Data Engineers.
This role is heavy on basic statistics, web analytics, comparative analysis and writing, so you must possess confidence in quantifying numbers and presenting them back in written and summarized format. You must also be comfortable deriving and defending your hypotheses based on the analysis you have produced to convince your fellow Product members of your findings.
The Intern Experience: At Rakuten, we pride ourselves on giving interns a genuine, immersive experience that has a direct impact on company objectives. You will do meaningful work, and with us, you’ll be a true member of the team. We are also invested in your growth as an individual and professional. That’s why you can expect curated events such as professional development workshops, interactions with Rakuten leadership, and relationship building opportunities with other interns and professionals at the company. You can visit rakuten.us and our Muse profile, to learn more about Rakuten’s culture
and values, as well as hear from last year’s interns. We are a well-established, fast-moving team of Product Managers, analysts and designers looking for some hands-on help in developing new features in our affiliate platform. You will be working within the Product and Software Development Lifecycle and learn about the ins and outs of new product development. This role is heavy on application development and cross-functional communication, so you must possess confidence in your understanding of application development and ability to convey technical concepts to a business audience.
