As a Production Support Analyst, you will be integral to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our systems. Reporting to the IT Manager, your role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. You will leverage your core skills in computer management and IT support, along with premium skills in configuration management and database management using DB2 and SQL. Your expertise in networking, VPN, and firewall management will ensure secure and seamless operations. Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues, ensuring optimal performance of systems.
  • Manage and configure operating systems, including CICS and DB2, while assisting in release management processes.
  • Support desktop and IT services, including VPN and firewall configurations.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance customer service and maintain effective communication regarding system updates and issues.
  • Utilize SQL for database management and reporting as needed.

The person filling this position should have:

  • Knowledge of Z/OS operating system and its interrelationships and functionality Required 5 Years
  • Experience with configuration management / release management support and guidance for Endevor software Required 7 Years
  • Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) programming language and techniques Required 7 Years
  • Knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2 Required 5 Years
  • The ability to evaluate complex SQL queries and recommend suggestions for better software performance and cost savings
  • The ability to provide CICS administration, problem-solving and debugging support interfacing with application developers as well as DIT personnel
